Hello...

Hello one and all, and welcome to my new blog. I am not at all creative but I struggle through. I crochet at times. Once in awhile I cross-stitch. I LOVE trying to be creative and such.

My current WIP is a blanket for a Christmas present (not saying who, of course! in case they are reading this). My plan for this afghan/blanket is 5 designs, 7 squares each. Three of the blocks are Chris Simon's, from http://yarncrazy.blogspot.com/. White = Birthday Flower, Green = Butterfly Garden, Yellow = Supernova. The blue, however, is one of my own designs -- kinda rough around the edges. As are my photo skills! The last design is still undecided at this point. I know, getting late...

We had our first snowfall this morning. Snowed, covered the ground, melted away -- all in 2 hours! Still cold, though.

Check out Koo's links -- http://www.kootoyoo.com/2010/11/my-creative-space_11.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Kootoyoo+%28kootoyoo%29

Okay, and I need to figure out the linky thing. Thanks for stopping by. See you next time!

  1. Hi Renee! Nice place. No offense, but you need a new blog name! Or does that one have some special meaning for you? I am your first Follower...woo-hoo.

Don't you love Chris Simon's patterns? I have made a few of those myself, and there are still some I want to try. Are you a member of Ravelry? Dayna Audirsch has a lot of free 12-inch squares that are really pretty. You can look her up there on the Designer tab. A lot of her pattern links are not working. If you want any of them let me know. I have some of them saved on my computer.

    Bye!

  11. Hello from Australia and welcome to the world of blogging. I can knit (not very well) but I prefer to crochet which I am teaching myself with the help of some good books. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to and getting to know you.
